      Noughts & crosses

Noughts and crosses (tic-tac-toe) for the board. Play as two players taking turns, or one player against the computer — which plays a perfect game, so the best you can force is a draw. The board is big and clear for a classroom, and the running score keeps itself.

How to use it, who it's for & FAQ

      How to use it

      1. Choose two players or “vs Computer”, then press Start.
      2. Tap a square to place your mark — crosses always go first.
      3. Get three in a row across, down or diagonally to win; the winning line lights up.
      4. Press “New round” to play again (the loser starts), or reset the scores any time.

      Who it's for

      • Teachers: a quick brain-break or reward game on the board — two students, or the class against the computer.
      • Families: the classic pencil-and-paper game with no pencil and paper.
      • Anyone: a 30-second game to settle who's right.

      FAQ

Can I play against the computer?

Yes — switch to “vs Computer” and you play as crosses. The computer plays perfectly, so you can draw but never beat it — good for showing why the game is a draw with best play.

      Does it keep score?

Yes — wins for each side and draws are tallied and saved in your browser. Reset them any time.

      Who goes first?

Crosses always start a game; after each round the other side starts the next one.

      Is it free and private?

Completely — no ads, no sign-up, and it works offline once loaded.
