      Axiom — daily maths puzzle

A daily maths puzzle for a starter or a brain-break, at four difficulty levels. Numbers and operators sit in a grid; a few numbers are missing. Place the tiles from the rack so every line reads correctly across and down — shared cells have to work in both directions at once. Easy is a four-equation ring; Medium and Hard are interlocking 3×3 crosswords (six lines), with Hard mixing +, −, × and ÷; Expert is a bigger 4×4 crossword — eight lines of three-number sums. A new puzzle every day at each level, the same for the whole class, and it checks itself.

How to use it, who it's for & FAQ

      How to use it

      1. Choose a level — Easy, Medium, Hard or Expert — then look at the grid and its shared cells.
      2. Tap a number tile in the rack, then tap the blank cell you want it in (tap a placed tile to take it back).
      3. Fill every blank so all the lines are true — lines you've completed turn green.
      4. Solve it to keep your daily streak going, or hit “Practice puzzle” for an extra one.

      Who it's for

      • Teachers: a daily number starter that runs itself — put it on the board as students come in.
      • Tutors: quick arithmetic and reasoning practice, one short puzzle at a time.
      • Anyone: a bite-sized daily maths challenge, like a numbers crossword.

      FAQ

Is it the same puzzle for everyone?

Yes — each level's daily puzzle is seeded from the date, so everyone gets the same one each day. Want more? “Practice puzzle” deals a fresh random one that doesn't affect your streak.

      What are the difficulty levels?

Easy is a four-equation ring; Medium is an interlocking 3×3 crossword of six addition lines; Hard is the same six-line crossword but mixes +, −, × and ÷ with more blanks; Expert is a bigger 4×4 crossword — eight lines of three-number sums.

      How does it check itself?

Every line is a real equation. Complete lines turn green and you've solved it when they're all correct — no marking needed.

      Do I need an account?

No — your streak is stored in your own browser. There's no sign-up and it works offline once loaded.

      Is it free?

Completely — no ads, no sign-up, ever.
